Cegelec and VINCI Energies Côte d’Ivoire were involved in the project to renovate Towers A and B of the Abidjan administrative complex.
Built in 1976, the two high-rise office buildings were designed to house the government administration in the country’s former political capital. It took more than a year to refurbish the twin towers, which boast 18 floors and stand 70 metres tall, accommodating around 1,200 civil servants. Tower A contains eight ministerial cabinets and two secretaries of state as well as the SGUFH local municipality, while Tower B was occupied by the African Development Bank.
Cegelec and VINCI Energies Côte d’Ivoire jointly implemented the climate control equipment and the plumbing and smoke extraction systems and installed the remote management system governing the technical facilities including alarms, meters and operating parameter control and adjustment systems. The data will notably be used to initiate preventive maintenance work.
